MIX OF OLD & NEW IRON WORK

Old World Charm Brings a New Bespoke Look

We had an interesting client commissioned project come in where Architectural Accents was asked to restore a French 19th.C Post & Arm in fairly worn condition requiring us to design & fabricate a matching hanging sign and base to complete the piece.

During the process, we had to hand beat a piece of steel and scroll the four corners; then chemically age and naturally weather the sign for two months. After which, we sealed and blended it to match the restored post & arm.

It was then sign written, chained to the post & arm, which was then mounted to the base so the unit was self-standing and ready for delivery to the client. The finished product looks as if it hasn’t been touched since the 19th Century.
