The Process of Making a 20ft by 6 ft. Heart Pine Table
It was a challenge to make a table this long and wide, and actually it was almost like constructing a suspension bridge. But having purchased the the Heart Pine boards from our friend, Willis Everett, Johann got to work on the construction with Andrew’s cabinet drawings. The finished weight ended up over 750 lbs. Long put the finish on and waxed the entire piece, we loaded it on a truck and sent it off to Michigan.
It now awaits revellers, who may dance jigs upon it, or perhaps be more subdued and just eat, drink and be merry.
