The afternoon of the 6th of July found us on a wooden hulled trawler, built 55 years ago. We trawled for 2 or 3 hours for a meagre catch of some John Dory, Sole, Sardines and several Crabs.
Off the coast, close to Les Sables d’Olonne, a school of Dolphins played and tracked the trawl net in anticipation of a feed, occasionally running alongside the bow of the trawler, just because they could. The weather was fair, the sun was warm, the air was fresh and fish was on the menu du chef for supper. Not bad!
